Mother & Daughter Swim High Wycombe

Our Mother & Daughter swimming lessons are perfect for those wishing to learn to swim together. Offering beginner swim sessions in a private and comfortable environment, with female instructors and lifeguards only.
Sessions are packaged as a series of 10 separate weekly swims. These are beginner sessions for those wanting to learn how to swim, focusing on core skills of swimming and water confidence.
These sessions provide a great opportunity for Mothers and Daughters (aged 12+) to learn to swim together whilst adhering to religious beliefs. However, all Mother & Daughter’s of any background are welcome to join these sessions.
What to expect:
Our women only swimming sessions are held at Aylesbury Grammar School, HP21 7RP.
Facilities include changing rooms, toilets and showers. All participants must shower before using the pool.
A female lifeguard and instructor will be present at all sessions. Swimming classes will be taught by an instructor from the side of the pool. For confident swim bookings, technique advice, support, and pool safety guidance will be available upon request.

Are these sessions right for you?
These lessons are for Mother & Daughter only, who have little or no experience of swimming. They will teach the basics, including pool safety, breathing, legs & arms control, timing and floating.
We offer other Women Only Swimming sessions for those over the age of 18 years old, which can be found here.

Support Women’s Only Swimming in Buckinghamshire
Help Us Provide a Safe and Inclusive Space so every woman has the chance to Swim
In Buckinghamshire, over 80% of the women participating in our Women’s Only Swimming Project are unable to swim in local pools due to their religious beliefs. Many of these women have never had the opportunity to learn to swim, missing out on the physical and mental health benefits of being in the water.
By donating today, you can help us provide private, safe, and culturally inclusive swimming sessions, allowing women to enjoy the water, improve their well-being, and learn a vital life skill in a comfortable environment.
Why This Project Matters
For many women in our community, swimming is not just a form of exercise—it’s an essential life skill that can improve health, confidence, and social inclusion. However, cultural and religious barriers mean that standard mixed-gender swimming sessions are not an option.
With your support, we can:
✅ Hire private swimming facilities where women can swim without being seen by men
✅ Provide qualified female instructors to support beginners and experienced swimmers alike
✅ Offer subsidised sessions for women facing financial hardship
✅ Empower women with water safety skills to protect themselves and their families.
Your Donation Will Make a Difference
💙 £10 – Covers the cost of a swimming session for one woman
💙 £25 – Helps provide swimwear for those who cannot afford it
💙 £50 – Supports the training of a female swim instructor
💙 £100 – Contributes to hiring private swimming facilities
Every donation, no matter how small, helps to create a space where women can swim freely, gain confidence, and improve their well-being.
