Our events are a mixture of free and paid for events, depending on the type of activity. However, all prices of our events and activities are kept at the absolute minimum and we often secure external funding to help lower this cost.
The events run by the team take place in Buckinghamshire and Hertforshire predominantly. However, the team also provide logistical support to several events in surrounding areas so you may see some of our team in other places too.
Applications for the Wycombe District talented athlete bursaries opened on September 1st 2019 and will close on October 22nd 2019.
Applications forms can be completed directly on our our website via the ‘Talented Athlete Bursaries’ page. Once completed these forms can then be return via email to info@activeinthecommunity.org.ukÂ
We offer these bursaries to athletes competing at Regional, National Development Squad or International level in their respected sports that reside within the Wycombe District.

This is something we do not currently offer, however we often have the opportunity to invest project funding into our sports clubs. We can also provide support and advice to supports clubs in all areas of their development.
Each year we run an annual Sports Forum in High Wycombe, which is a free event that provides up to date information, on a local, county and national level to sports clubs, educational establishments and other organisations within the District. It gives an insight into the key things that coaches, administrators and key volunteers need to know about. For example funding, marketing, and the county sports partnership priorities.
Although we cannot commit to any long term advertising we would be happy to promote your club sessions via our social media channels.
We provide a fully comprehensive facility management service that takes care of all of the administration, bookings, site operations, promotion and security.

We would recommend speaking directly to you local Active Partnership (formally known as County Sports Partnerships) as they are the workforce development leads in each area that we work.Â
The team do not offer any bursaries directly as we try hard to subsidise the cost of the qualifications to all coaches and volunteers. However, you can often gain support through your Active Partnership (formally known as County Sports Partnerships) for qualifications.
